Art Basel Miami 2022 is here, celebrating its 20th anniversary since launching in the Magic City.

Art Basel Miami 2022 (20th Anniversary)

Art Basel is said to be North America’s most comprehensive international contemporary art fair. This is Miami’s most lively and bustling week of the year bringing in thousands of artists from 283 premier galleries and 38 countries across the globe. Art dealers, artists, collectors, and art aficionados descend to South Florida to enjoy modern and contemporary art worldwide. This week Miami becomes a playground for the world’s elite. It’s a perfect time to network, party, and indulge in the city’s art-centric events.

The largest Art Basel show will be from December 1 to December 3 at the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC). This year’s fair will also include vibrant cultural programs across the City’s world-class institutions and private collections. The festivities start with the opening of satellite fairs and a flurry of events as more galleries, luxury brands, and nonprofits make the most of our lively city. Here are some satellite events and the must-see art fairs and exhibits.

SCOPE Art Show

Celebrating its 21st edition, SCOPE Art Show is returning to the white sands of South Beach. Honored by the City of Miami Beach Mayor’s Office and Commission for its extraordinary cultural impact, SCOPE Miami Beach will feature 140 International Exhibitors and will welcome 60,000 visitors over 6 days. Miami art week’s original satellite fair has grown from its initial boutique hotel location with 27 galleries to a massive white tent on the beach at 8th Street with over 140 international galleries. The 21st edition features its most ambitious New Contemporary program; the platform frees artists to explore technology, politics, and inclusivity.

SCOPE Miami Beach is once again poised to lead the charge for the emerging contemporary art market. Amidst an unprecedented outpouring of critical acclaim from the press, curators, and collectors, a digital and social media outreach campaign garnered over 500 million impressions. The event will feature larger-than-life installations, live music, high-profile panel discussions, and even early morning yoga classes.

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami

(November 30th to December 4th)

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami return to Mana Wynwood during 2022 Miami Art Week. Spectrum Miami, an upscale and urban curated contemporary art fair, will be located adjacent to Red Dot Miami, a curated gallery-only contemporary art fair. These art fairs celebrate the world’s most progressive portfolios by today’s elite artists, galleries, and emerging talents.

Combined, these two exhibits will be the largest and longest-running event to occur all week. Both shows will cover more than 100,000 square feet of indoor exhibition space. It is accessible for visitors on foot and by car, all within walking distance from Wynwood’s trendiest restaurants, bars, and retail boutiques. This event will highlight the work of over 1,000 artists, showcasing established industry leaders and emerging artists pouring passion into their projects.

Fridge Art Fair

This event is dedicated to showcasing eclectic, anti-commercial art. Fridge Art Fair is taking place in Allapattah. It’s a bit removed from all the buzz of central Wynwood and Miami Beach. The year the theme is Art Camp, so artists are bringing their most eccentric, amusing, and out-of-bounds pieces to display. This outdoor art fair is also pet friendly, so make sure to bring your furry friends.

A sign that the art world is booming, the 20th annual Art Basel Miami Beach presents over 280 galleries for its largest fair to date – visit for a list of exhibitors and programming details.
