#1: Florida’s ranking among all U.S. states at drawing in new residents and reaping the financial benefits, according to an extensive August study by LendingTree. Using IRS data from 2016, the study found that people who moved to Florida brought in a combined adjusted gross income of about $30.2 billion. This net influx of approximately $17.7 billion in adjusted gross income. The next closest state was South Carolina, with $2.25 billion. [LendingTree]
